The Suite is the only room with value

We have stayed at this hotel many times and the only room combo that has value is the king suite. We have tried all other room combos and they have no value for the high weekend rate that is charged for them. Just this weekend we booked a king room with sleeper that was supposed to have a sitting area, for $*** per night. Upon arrival, I couldn't believe the gall Marriott had for trying to charge us that much for the room! It was very small, and only had a portable TV set. It faced the parking lot and didn't even have a bar fridge to store cold drinks in. Luckily the hotel was virtually empty and were able to pay an extra $30 or so per night and upgrade to a king suite, which offers two large TV's, a fridge and microwave, and large balcony. Marriott needs to review their room rates for weekend travelers. This time of year you can't even use the unheated pool. The only restaurant only serves breakfast, there's no place to have a drink, etc.
Again, we have stayed in this particular numerous times and every time we try the two queen bed or the king and sleeper combo, we are miserable. The king suite is the only way we can stay at this hotel, and that's almost $&*** for two nights at the weekend rate.
Since Marriott makes you pay through the nose anyway, you'd might as well get a decent sized TV and a fridge.

Friendly and helpful staff. Really enjoyed king suite! The regular room seemed a bit small, and for only $20 extra, we got an extra room, with kitchenette, couch and tv! Jacoozee (sp?) was nice too. B'fast buffet quite decent.

My husband and I stayed here with our 3 small kids on the first night of our vacation (while waiting to get into our condo for the remainder of the week). The staff went above and beyond to accomodate us and even let us check in a couple hours early so our baby could take a nap!! The facility was very clean and well maintained. Only a short drive away from the public beach, the water park, and all the other tourist stops! Also just a short drive to the Outlet Malls! We originally chose to stay here because of the larger rooms and some of the poor online ratings that other places closer to the beach had received. We were only here for one night, but we had excellent service and will definitely stay here again if the need arises. Many of the other guests here mid-week seemed to be business travelers and golfers, but I would also recommend this place to families who need a little more space and larger beds than some of the other places offer.

I was totally impressed with this hotel. Very clean, spa, pool, and friendly employees. One of the best hotel breakfasts' I've had.
