This hotel is in the quiet part of the area at night. The staff was very friendly. The room we had was not worth the money thought. It had a great view of the ocean. The room had a queen size bed and a whirlpool bath. The room had a fridge but no microwave. I loved this hotel overall but the room we had wasn't worth the money. The only way to the lobby was by elevator. If you want a quiet night after being out all day this is the place to stay!

The hotel staff are wonderful, the lobby is beautiful, free coffee all say and night is great. The breakfasy buffet is excellent for a very reasonable price. The BIG DISAPPOINTMENT was the quality of the rooms. Paint on ceiling peeling, wallpaper peeling in room. No pictures on walls. Very drab especially for the price. We had a jaquzzi in room, that was great, but dirty when you turn on the jets. I would not return for that price and poor quality. Sorry.

Our vacation at the Courtyard Oceanfront North was a very nice one, indeed. The Hotel was exceptionally clean. We have stayed at many Hotels on the Oceanfront, but this Hotel was very impressive.
With our choice of pillows and blankets, this Hotel also made our stay completely comfortable.
The only exceptions to perfect with this Hotel was that the people were not very friendly, and the outdoor pool was like ice. I was not at all impressed with the professionalism here, or the lack thereof.
We were in Virginia Beach on vacation at the end of Summer, (September 14,)but the pool outside felt like the middle of winter. It didn't take 5 minutes for us to freeze, but we knew to expect this from prior research. It is a common complaint of visitors to this Hotel. I would think they could do something to rectify that.

I was sick the entire time i was there but i still enjoyed myself. The jacuzzi was just the perfect temp.(i usually think they are all too hot) the indoor pool was right next to it, somewhat small, but who cares! the outdoor pool was exceptionally fun with a cute slide not only kids would enjoy. The beach was soo close and so fun and clean. The view from your hotel room at night looking at the beach was so friggin beautiful, it takes your breath away and makes you want to leap from your balcony (not literally) If your a bit older( the mature traveler- older married couples looking to get away from the kids) then you will enjoy the areas nightlife - cozy restaraunts and such are pretty good- If you are a teenager, you probably wont have much fun at night as there really isn't much to do( there is an icecream milkshake shop not too far from the hotel and a haunted house,If you are a person over 18,21 and over then you will enjoy the area fairly good i hear there are some pretty great nightclubs aroudn the area. overall its the cheapest closest destination you can get to if you want somewhere tropical or really romantic but don't want to travel out of the country! i would definately go back here!

Our stay at this hotel was about average. Here's a tip: get to the outside pool EARLY. When we arrived, the pool was filthy; paper floating on water and you could see a "greasy film" on the water. I wouldn't let my daughter swim in that mess. They clean the pool every morning, so thats the time to go. Also, they only have 2 elevators for the entire hotel, so be prepared to wait for the elevators, which you have to share with the service people because they don't have service elevators. Otherwise, we had a good time. The view was GREAT!!!
