Buyer Beware

I booked a room with two queen beds and a whirlpool type tub at 30% off the regular rate, as offered by the reservation agent over the phone. I booked the stay about an hour before my arrival, so I was told my credit card would be charged in full and that I wouldn't be able to cancel or change the booking. I didn't see a problem with this at the time. When I got to the hotel, however, the front desk clerk told me that if I wanted a room with a whirlpool type tub, I would have to "pay extra". This was the old "bait and switch" as far as I was concerned, and I refused to "pay extra". I was given the humblest little hotel room I've ever stayed in. The customer service was lousy, the fridge was broken in my room, and the whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth. I would not stay in that hotel again. The only positive think I can say is that they had tempurpedic mattresses, which I had never slept on before, which was quite a treat, but not worth the hassle. Buyer beware.

“It was an excellent stay. Staff was all very friendly, we had a big and quiet room, very clean, changed linen and towels every day. Located next to UCR and Downtown Riverside. Would definitely go back.”
