Great Hotel

Very clean hotel on the Northshore of New Orleans. Great hotel to stay in if you want to visit New Orleans but do not wish to have to stay in the high crime areas.

No WI-Fi - its there but cannot connect Garbage cans overflowing at doors - garbage on the ground KING KONG was in the room above me NO attendant on Duty Saturday night - late arrivals in parking lot honking horns waking people up. Next morning manager(?) questioned validity of complaints. This place sucks big time but that's Holiday Inn. It is convinent to the highways.

Terrible experience

We only stayed in the room for about 3 hours. It appeared to have never been cleaned... in a while! There was garbage in the trash cans, used soap & shower gel in the shower, the tub had dirt and hair in it, the bathroom floors had large shoe scuff marks, the sink counter looked like it had not been clean in a few days, the mirrors were dirty...it was all pretty gross! They had the "cleaned by" sign on our bed, what a joke! We even considered sleeping in our car over staying the night there. When we went to ask for another room there was no more available, so we got our things & left. They gave us our money back but didn't even say apologize about the room or anything. I have stayed in many, many hotels and this was the worst experience ever!

Please stay away

Please stay elsewhere. Extremely poor housekeeping.Overall hotel not properly cleaned. No free breakfast, unsanitary bedding and bath. Unsafe for single traveler. Unfriendly staff. Recent renovations after Katrina, however, still unclean to stay for above avg price. Go elsewhere.

Good Recovery

One of the first to come back after hotel was put out of business after Katrina. Still in process. Restaurant not finished so I can understand and appreciate a small breakfast in the lobby until full recovery. This hotel had five to six feet of water for days so it had to be rebuilt.
