Great Stay in NYC

First time visit in NYC for both my fiance and myself and the Affinia Manhattan could not have a been a better place to stay. The location is right next to Penn Station, so traveling the subway could not have been easier. Staff was helpful and Dunkin Donuts is next door and Starbucks across the street was convenient for breakfast in the morning. Great room and the bed was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting NYC for the first or anytime.

This hotel is right across the street from Madison Square Gardens, so location was super. The front desk was great, the concierge service was fantastic, everyone was very, very nice! I phoned the hotel before arrival and they gave me the lowdown on getting a taxi from LaGuardia to the hotel (to miss the tolls). The room was cleaned everyday. We stayed in an efficiency which had 2 double beds, kitchen with stove, frig, microwave, and sink. The view was spectacular - we were on the 27th floor and the elevator was super fast. I would definitely recommend this hotel. I can't say enough good things about the experience. Please know that the room was small, but for New York it was very big! The hotel is a bit dated, but I didn't go there to stay in the room all day! There is a diner across the street that serves delicious bagels!! I can't wait to go back!!
Affinia Manhattan near everything & well worth the price.

The Affinia Manhattan is expensive. For the price of the room, you expect exemplary service. I was blown away by how wonderful the service, amenities, and staff were during my last stay.
The rooms are all suites and totally non-smoking. Appliances are newer, the plates, pots, pans, etc are all nicer than average. With a few markets are within walking distance, you can buy groceries and snacks to save some $$. Room service, however, is out of this world - quick, delicious, and priced right - I ordered a burger, fries, and soda for $*. The bathrooms are on the small side and the shower could be the best hotel shower I've experienced. Good water pressure for an old building. Beds are big and comfy with lots of pillows. The televisions, however, are old. They have a crummy picture and lousy sound.
The location is a huge benefit for this hotel. The time and expense of cabbing around town is avoided because you can walk to Penn Station, Times Square, Broadway, and the subway stations.

We stayed there from 18 till 22 september. It is a great hotel, the rooms are big, the staff is very friendly and the location is perfect!! Walking distance to everything!!!
The only thing that wasn't so good is the noise. We were on the 3t floor next to a battery of outdoor airco units. At 6 h AM they go "on"!!! If you're an early bird like my wife, no probs!
Next time we go to NYC it will be the Affinia Manhattan! PS If you don't like the flashy carpet in the lobby, it wil be removed next month.

I was extremely pleased to book this hotel . It was a great deal and even better location. It's a bit difficult to be across from Madison Square Garden but we were so tired, it mattered little. We would have liked to have taken advantage of having a kitchenette but it was so nice to have the space and not trip over each other.
