The room felt like an apartment. It had a balcony, and self contained bathroom. I loved that it had a microwave and mini fridge as I travel with food. It also had a full coach and dining table. I also was suprised for the price to have a full breakfeast, eggs, wafles, sausage, bacon, cereal etc. The free internet also made my stay convienent and once again a great bargan. I was less than a mile from the beach as well. I would stay here again.

Price was right, but air conditioning never worked right. My father in law's sink did not drain properly. It was a Saturday night and no engineer was on duty to address the problems. Bed was very comfortable. Room was clean and presentable.

OK if you just need a place to sleep

Judging by others' reviews, I had expected it to be a little nicer than it is. It was a long walk to the Beach and is overlooking the I-5 Freeway. The swimming pool was comfortably heated, but had just enough room to walk around it, no more. So there were no lounges to sunbathe on, only resin chairs. The jacuzzi was barely warm. And the pool towels were a joke. More like a cheap hand towel. The hot and "savory" breakfast was nothing more than a continental breakfast (fruit and danishes) with some waffles you make yourself, scrambled eggs, and chopped ham. It was OK, but again I had expected more. The staff were distant and sometimes hard to locate. However, the rooms were clean and well stocked with extra pillows and towels. My husband forgot his toothbrush and received a complimentary one from the lobby with no problems. We were there on a Sunday and Monday so it was nice and quiet. The bed was somewhat hard and not as comfortable as we are used to, but was acceptable. Overall, it was okay. But definitely not impressive. There were several places we could have stayed at for less if all we wanted was a room. Or there were several places we could have stayed at for more and, hopefully, at a better experience. We agree that we won't stay at the Comfort Suites in San Clemente again. Last time we went to the beach, we stayed at a nice place in Santa Barbara just across from the beach with a nice swimming pool. They had a continental breakfast, served wine and cheese in the evening and room service left a chocolate mint on our pillows each day. Paid a bit more, but it was worth it.

We have been visiting this beautiful city for many years b'coz my family loves to visit beaches. So this Mother's day, my son, who was away in Iraq, decided to give me special vacation time, so he got a special suite booked for us for two nights. On arrival, we were greeted very nicely by really friendly staff there at the front desk. Check-in was just breezy. After opening our room door, I was so pleasantly surprised because the staff had decorated the room with lovely fresh flowers. And to top it, they provided me a room with a gorgeous view of the ocean from the balcony on the top floor. I was totally amazed by the whole thing. Room was absolutely sparkling clean. Best room, I ever I stayed in. Mornings were made even better by Hot Savoury breakfast items. Staff members really went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one. I would come to this great hotel again and again.

"We stayed here because we lived in the vicinity years ago and had many favorite places to visit. We arrived early and were accommodated promptly. Staff was very friendly, room was exceptionally clean, and roomy and the pillow to mattresses were great, and the jacuzzi tub in the room was just great and also there new hot breakfast in the morning everyday something new. we had an ocean view with a balcony. very nice. worth the extra cost. To sit out there evenings and look at the ocean and surroundings. Lovely place to visit and stay at this hotel. I would highly recommend it to any one. We always found a parking spot and were always greeted nicely.
