Wife and I stayed overnight for a concert in irvine. Room was not quite up to expectation for price. Total cost was around * for single king with couch bed.
Pluses- Bed was more comfortable than expected. General feel of the hotel was quiet for a friday night. Wife said coffee offered in morning breakfast was quite good.
Minuses - Found the details of the room lacking....Things like toilet paper spool bracket was loose in the wall, tv was not very clear, bed pillows were on the small side.
Overall - For the price I would try somewhere else before staying here again. 6.5 out of 10 (10 being "wowwed" for value).

This motel does not look like much from the outside, but the rooms were comfortable and clean, they have a good number of cable television channels from which to chose and the rates are reasonable. Good continental breakfast too.

My wife and kids wanted to visit San Clemente because it is rated as one of the most beautiful beach cities in Southern California. What we had heard was absolutely right. This hotel was in very close proximity to the lovely beach and location is just perfect. Staff at check-in was very nice and courteous. Our room was fabulous with a lovely balcony that provided a breathtaking view of the surroundings. Breakfast was also great with a lot of choice of items. The hotel was absolutely clean and nice from all sides, right from the pool to hallways and lobby area. Beds were exceptionally comfortable with pillow top mattresses. We were very satisfied with our stay and we would love to stay here again in future as well.

Basic charm and well up-kept. Very conveniently located right off I-5 (ideally between LA and San Diego) but with definitely coastal, residential ambiance. By "suites", they mean most very modest-sized rooms have just a waist high "divider" between the bed and the sofa. Wash-basin out of bath/toilet is a plus. Furnishing is dated but with necessary upgrades (e.g. wall finishing and floor tiling in bathroom). Wi-Fi worked fine and TV reception was good. Breakfast is basic, but fruit basket is available all day. Breakfast area is tight (3 round tables seating 4-5 max) but clients when we were there (many young surfers) were courteous and considerate. You would think the single elevator serving all floors and rooms would be a problem but surprising not. We asked for a room on the top floor facing the back (parking lot) for quiet, but unfortunately it was across from a "boiler" room (marked "maintenance" on the door) which sends a grinding groan whenever the machine kicks in every 3 minutes or so, 24-hours a day. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay and would definitely consider returning again.
