Very nice room

We stayed here June 8 - 12, 2009. Our room was very nice, roomy and clean, with nice fixtures. The hotel itself is very nice, and we never had to wait long for an elevator. The pools weren't as nice as I expected, but overall, we were very happy we stayed there. Did I mention the room was huge?

Impanema Tower is the BEST

We stayed here from 6/25-6/29! WE stayed in the Impanema Tower. Glossy Tile on the floors in wet areas, very nicely decorated in modern decor. Floor to ceiling windows. Dual sinks, one in bathroom, one in vanity area. Large spacious counter tops. full mirror closet doors, nice sized closet. Clean, NO smoking room. It was AWESOME!!! Well worth the money. 14th floor! I say this b/c my mother stayed in a smoking room on the 13th floor, and her room had the same features, but different decor, slightly dated. IN either case, we had a great view of the pools--even the Topless Brazilian one--my husband loved that! And also the view of Vegas, at night the skyline is BEAUTIFUL, you can see bellagio, caesar's palace, everything from the window. The view is awesome!! The show in the sky every hour, the shoppes, the BEST BUFFET IN VEGAS! Its not just a saying, its the truth, we went to 4! Hands down, the Carnival Buffet has the best food, freshest, cleanest, everything. WE are foodies! The service was awesome. The best part about my vegas trip was the hotel! I had to force myself to leave the room, lol. Im a 28 year old married woman, some might consider snooty! so when I tell you this was nice, believe me! It was nice! Its not exactly on the stip, but we walked to it, I personally think being off the strip is a good thing considering the strip neverEVER sleeps. Take the Rio shuttle to harrah's and walk the strip-its free! Or rent a car, valet at every hotel is also free! Of if you are used to walking, you can walk to the strip! its not far at all!

Rio Hotel

The room was nice and spacious. The seafood buffet is outstanding. Definitely a seafood lovers paradise. I don't eat any type of seafood. I was able to enjoy the salad bar, some carved roast beef, grilled chicken, noodles, and of course, dessert. The American steak house was excellent. I would never stay at the Rio again because the room windows don't open. I must have fresh air at night, especially in a smokey casino.

I have stayed at the rio 27times in the last 8 years. the last time was super bowl weekend. sure the rooms are a little dated but look at the size. maybe i miss some things, but the staff at anyone time has to put up with us people who might have had a few to many. getting back to my stay the place was packed, but all services with me and my buddies was outstanding. thank you rio. see you in july.
