will never use best value inns again

reserved a non-smoking handicapped room, the room was handicapped but smoking and there was no hot water in the sink and the air-conditiioning didn't work. The maintainance person had no id and didn't have any idea how to fix anything. We were finally changed to another room after I went to the front desk for the 3rd time but it wasn't handicapped so my mom was unable to shower the next morning. No one showed up at the cruiseport to pick us up, until I called & 1 1/2 hours late, even though I had called to confirm the night before.
Dirty and Run Down

I had to stay here b/c the hotel I was going to stay at canceled my reservation. The room was dirty, there was a used match on the floor, the blanket had holes in it, the toilet was completely broken, and they raised the price on me at the last minute.

We stayed before we left for our cruise and the day we came back. Our rooms were on the third floor. They were clean. We used the shuttle from and to the airport. Could have been quicker. They need to identify the area to go to to dial #21 to get the shuttle. Biggest problem was the website stating a free shuttle to the cruise ships. That was only true if a higher price was paid for the room. The website has since been changed. The manager was helpful in suggesting the bus to get to the downtown area.

This hotel needs lots of inprovements. There were many holes in the walls and our carpet was damp and sticky, they even had an industrial rug covering part of the carpet. I cancelled my post cruise day even though I had to pay for the room. We stayed at another hotel.

We moved to 3 different rooms, I bought scented candles to get the room to smell better, we tried to cancel and move to another hotel, but could not, had to stay.
