The hotel was disappointing

The hotel lobby is nice and the room was what I expected considering it is an older property. The location and the gym was good. The bad side is that they do not honor the requests you make online such as room type and non-smoking. It took ...Read more

The King Edward is a classic gran dame hotel. They have recently added newer elevators which are much faster. The lobby and bar are classic. The rooms are roomy, the major problem is the comfort of the beds... the mattress is lumpy and too soft and ...Read more

Staying at the King Edward for 8 nights was a treat. The staff is friendly, yet professional; the rooms are good; it has a very good fitness center; and, the location is great. We loved the whole experience.

A neat old classic hotel - airy lobby, spacious room, nicely appointed, nice staff. Can't beat the location on King just east of Yonge -- walking distance from just about any part of the city. Only quibble is the elevators are a wee bit small.

We slept well during one of the busiest week-ends of the year (gay pride parade). The concierge were extremely helpful and gave excellent touring recommendations. The restaurant is good, although expensive.

I chose this hotel because of the convenient location to area attractions and nearby subway station. I was overall pleased with the size and comfort of the room. The staff was friendly and the service was excellent. I highly recommend staying here.
