The hotel is rated a 2 star by travel agency and that it is!!! If you know what a 2 star rating is then you know what to expect. Nothing luxurious here, just the basics to get thru the night and quickly move on early the next morning or for someone on a tight budget while visiting the surrounding areas. Clean bed and linens but not all that comfortable. I personally will not stay in less than a 3 star again if i can help it but for a 2 star is was probably a good one. Just not my cup of tea. However, the entire staff from front desk clerk on down were better than any 4 star hotel. It is also 20-30 minutes off of 95 which i didn't realize. Palatka is a small town where the folks are friendly and warm . Not the best of restaurants ibut the service was excellent. Restaurant in the hotel needs a good cook and a steady waitress so plan on dinner out. Alligator, yes, i said alligator was on the menu at Gators (one of the best restaurants in town) I had not seen that before....anywhere. Tried it and checked that box.

Went down for 2008 Bike Week. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean. Plumbing needs a bit of work (turned on hot water and pipes made horrible noise). Had a room with view of St. Johns River and was very pleased. Had breakfast in hotel and that was enjoyable. Would definitely stay here again.

the hotel was great just upset that with the travel agent the room cost more than it should have!!!!!
Overnight in Palatka florida

I had never heard of Palatka before this trip. I needed to stay somewhere close to St. Augustine, but because this was spring break week, there were no last minute rooms to be found. Quality Inn and suites river front in Palatka turned out to be a great stay.
