Would stay here again-beware of weirdos

Great place to stay. The bed was extremely comfortable and I was happy that the building had a key access only. I only had two complaints. The TV was small and placed in a bad location in the room. The hotel is located close to the rail, movies, a shopping center and this may be why there were some people just "hanging around." Other than that, the location was fabulous, very close to the highways and downtown. Even with a Rockies and Broncos game going on the same weekend, we had no troubles getting around.

Good Value/Bad bed

Housekeeping did a very nice job, the staff was courteous and attentive. The room was clean, and the kitchenette easily stocked from a nearby grocery, also a theater and a Chili's restaurant all within an easy walk. The light rail stop is nearby and $5.50 will get you a round trip ticket to the downtown area or the convention center, and it runs from early in the morning to late at night. The trip is about 25 minutes one way. The light rail runs about every 17 minutes and is clean and seems very safe. The bed in our room though was simply bad. We both would wake up about every two hours and were stiff and sore every morning. To the hotel's credit, we did not complain about the bed until we checked out so we don't know if it has been replaced or not.

Excellent Accomodations

I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the facility. The room service was prompt and very complete. Upon Arrival, I found bed was turned down with soft classical music playing on the radio-a very welcome feeling. Small kitchenette was handy for cooking and large fridge. Good internet connection via wired system (not subject to drops and interference found from wireless systems) requires ethernet port. Located off the street in a fairly quiet and secure area. *1/2 block from bus and light train service to Denver ($5.50 round trip-20 minutes to downtown). *Chili's Restaurant next door has excellent waiter--ask for Ricky J. *UA Movie Theater next door with "Giant Screen". *One block from King Sooper Grocery Store as well as many shops and lunch-type restaurants. *One block from Hampden Ave., which changes to HWY 285 West to the Mountains and excellent sight-seeing. Negatives- Close to Fire Station so some occasional noise from Emergency Vehicles. Room had Small TV with no DVD option, but full cable lineup. Overall Rating A+.

Cheap, clean and convenient

We lucked into this place, although 20 miles from airport it is only 6 miles to downtown Denver and only 100 yards from the trolley line which is great for getting into city (trolley gives easy access to Coors Field, Mile High Stadium and Pepsi Center as well as downtown shopping). The rooms are suites with full kitchen and it allowed us to do some of our own cooking which saves big $ when traveling as a family. Large grocery store/shopping plaza next door along with several nice restaurants and a movie theater (all within walking distance) really cut down on travel times. Hotel and area are clean, new and safe in a nice nieghborhood just off I25 so easy to find and the soundproofing was good enough to keep out highway noise. On site laundry was a blessing, gym and pool are both quite small. Staff super nice and helpful. We will definitely stay again!

Bang for the Buck

The hotel was included (actually "highlighted" to be selected) as part of an airfare/hotel package, so I initially thought "it might not be a great hotel, but hey it's cheap". It was hard to find the hotel at first as there was little signage to direct you to the hotel. So after having to double back (over shot the hotel by a couple of miles initially), I was finally able to check-in. The staff was friendly and courteous (I was able to check-in with roomkey in hand in less than 5 minutes). The location of the hotel itself was really nice, it is adjacent to a RTD (public transportation in Denver) station with access to busses and light rail (which I highly recommend if going Downtown - Invesco Field, Coors Field, Elitch Gardens, etc. - not having to deal with traffic or parking nightmares is worth its weight in gold). The property is located right off a major freeway so getting around in a car is another viable option. The hallways and rooms (suites - think Extended Stay but cleaner and nicer) are clean and modern. Appliances are already in-room with utensils in the kitchenette. Included in the price is free internet access and free local phone calls. The UA Theater adjacent to the property (shares same parking lot) made a movie close. The rooms were quite spacious and even has a pull out sofa-bed if staying with a large group/kids. The only thing that bothered me was the small TV and the small pool. The TV set was probably a 19" but felt more like a 13", and the pool looked like a larger version of a bathtub - I think the suite itself was bigger than the size of the pool. Overall, I would stay there again.
