Convenient Location, Overall Good Experience Considering the Price

Driving from Michigan to Texas on a tight budget and needed to find a cheap place to stay halfway between. We decided to stay at the Econo Lodge in Nashville because of the cheap price and location - the hotel was right next to the freeway near downtown. There are several standard fast food restaurants right next to the hotel. It is an easy 10-minute drive to the Ryman Aud and the music venues and shops on Broadway.
The room itself was very clean, but I will agree with the previous reviewer that some of the public areas in the motel are dingy. We had very basic amenities in the room, which was to be expected considering the low price. The bed sheets and carpeting were clean and everything in the room was working, which is pretty much all we require. The AC did its job, which was good since Nashville was quite hot and humid when we got there. It turns out that this place did not have wireless Internet when we were there so we had to use a public computer in the lobby:( However, people at the front desk and staff were very friendly during our stay, which was a plus.
A good place to stay for a night if you just need a basic no-frills hotel.
