Great value hotel!

"The Byron was surprisingly wonderful for the price - I expected the usual grotty tourist hotel but my room (35) was more like a business hotel (small but nice). Recently renovated and attractive, great water pressure in the shower, comfortable bed, a 3 minute walk from Queensway tube. Friendly staff. Quiet street - even rooms fronting the street are quiet at night. Best value hotel I've ever had in London in more than a dozen visits!"

This was a great hotel, and we will stay here again when we return to London. The location is great, away from crowds, but close to parks, museums, and good restaraunts. The staff was attentive and answered all our questions and helped in anyway they could. We were truly sad to leave. Breakfast was good, but could be considered sparse by some.

Tiny but Acceptable

This is a safe, clean, hotel in a convenient area near Hyde Park. The rooms are as small as I've ever experienced (mine was 7' x 9', not including the bathroom and 3' hallway from the door) Everything worked, although the TV only got about 5 channels. Breakfast was nothing fancy and about average, but there was plenty of it, and everyone was friendly. Don't stay here if you are claustrophobic as everything about this hotel is small. Overall, I was not dissatisfied, but this is not your place if you like to hang out in your room. This hotel is an inexpensive way to stay in London.
