Description: This is a nice hotel in a good area. This is one of those hotels that is a converted home on a nice street with homes and hotels. The Queensway and Baywater Tube stations are about a 5-minute walk away. Nice pubs, shops, and restaurants are nearby. Queensway has lots of kitschy gift shops and Whiteley's mall is close by. Surprisingly, there are some good restaurants there. Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park are very close.
The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly. The standard rooms are not big, but for me personally, I am not in my room that long each day, so it does not bother me. I always came back to a clean room. Also, there is a coffee/tea maker, which is essential for this coffee lover.
We received an English breakfast with the special we booked, and it was very filling and good. They would make your eggs to order, along with English bacon and/or sausage, beans, and tomatoes. There was also a breakfast bar with cereal, milk, coffee, tea, bread, etc.
It was not close to a lot of attractions, except Kensington Palace and Hyde Park, but the good price made it worthwhile to stay there. BUT with tube stations so close, it wasn't a big deal.
