Great Trip

Ceasars Palace is a deluxe hotel. You would never have to leave. Stores, food, gambling, rooms are great, and service is wonderful. We never had to wait for rooms to be cleaned, it almost seemed like the minute we left, they were done. The breakfast buffet was the best ever, it was $18. And even though places on the strip offered breakfasts' for 1/2 that, by the time you bought juice and coffe it was about the same. Our only complaint was trying to book a trip to Hoover Dam at the consignee desk...she just handed us a brochure to call ourselves. Walking thru the Bellagio..we stopped at desk and she booked the trip for us (even though we weren't staying there) explained everything about it and had them pick us up at Ceasars.

Opulence embraced by cheapness- A sensored mini bar?

This was my first and probably my last trip to Vegas. While the hotel didn't have everything to do with why I will not visit again, it certainly didn't help. I have to say the hotel is beautiful but the ongoing cheapness and attempt to rip every dollar out of your pocket is detrimental to its opulence. From the sensored items on top of the mini bar (if you don't put the item back before 30 seconds elapse you are charged for the item) to the fact that the intentionally don't include a glass of water with your room service order in order to get you to buy their 11 bottle of water from the mini bar. I also found that despite having a suite, the rooms didn't include a hair dryer or a coffee pot. While I know its Vegas, it just seems like some things are customary in a $ a night suite. Additionally, the walls are thin and I had to listen to the guys next door all night drinking and laughing. As for as the Casino, well, it was nice, but unless you are really into gambling, their table minimums are a bit too high for someone that just wants to enjoy themselves and have some fun. Its no wonder that the almost all of the major resort hotels suffer from their guests going elsewhere to gamble. While I'm sure that just about every hotel is the same, I can tell you that I would recommend some place else for your stay in Vegas! Just my 2 cents.

Great Location, Plenty of Fun

I really enjoyed the hotel at Caesar's Palace. The room was nice (we did upgrade to a newly remodeled tower), the checkin was painless, and the restaurants are very good. The major issue we had was concerning security. An intoxicated man hit my younger brother as he was coming into the revolving doors of the casino. We called security to report the incident and asked that they review the camera footage. The following day the security office told us a report was never filed. Then we were directed to hotel services who referred us back to security. Even though we saw the guy who assaulted my brother a couple of days later, the hotel never did anything to really assist with this situation. I also didn't like the casino at Caesars Palace very much. There is only a limited number of tables and the limits are usually higher. Thankfully, the location makes it easy to go over to Bally's or to Bill's Gambling Hall. Much easier to find tables and lower limits in that area. We didn't use the pool because it's currently being remodeled. Good stay overall!

Don't stay in the Palace Tower

I had a great time in Vegas. The staff were great and the craps table crews were the best. I got put into the Palace tower the first night of my stay-it was very old and run down. I requested a new room and then stayed in the Forum Tower suite. I had to pay for a little upgrade; it was definetly worth it. What a room! My trip was saved, and I can't wait to get back.
