Don't get the Strip View

My room was a fairly descent room. Its an older hotel but the staff kept our room very clean. I didn't like that there was a room service tray in front of the room down the hall for 3 1/2 days. Don't get a strip view. There is a U-Shape of vendors in front of the rooms and they have a live band that plays all damn night!! I am so sick of Bon Jovi!!!

Very disappointed in the hotel. Smelled of stale cigarette smoke that had been there for 30 years. Entire hotel needs a renovation. No ammenities in the room, the pool was poorly laid out for the amount of people there and the front desk gave me wrong directions to a restaurant.
Would not stay there again

Reasons for dissatisfaction include non working elevators, 15 minutes wait in line to check-in, non working keys on late check out, dirty carpets and dingy walls in hallways, and lack of waitress services on casino floor. Was not impressed with the food in the buffet.
Aspects of stay that we were satisified include clean room, enough towels, room service, comfortable bed and accomodating Customer Service Reps at front desk.
Additional comment: I talked to the manager at the end of my stay letting him knowof my dissatisfaction and he was apologetic and did offer acceptible compensation.
Loved it

My brand new husband and I stayed at IP for our honeymoon, we also stayed at another hotel thats shaped like a pyramid and I have to say we enjoyed the imperial palace waaay more than the other hotel. The staff was so friendly. Our housekeeper had to be our favorite, eveytime she saw us she would recognize us and ask us how we were. The room was cleaner and the beds were more comfortable than at the other hotel we stayed at. Plus you cant beat the price and location. the only down side was the food, we went to the burger place which had really tough tastless meat, and the buffet which was not very great.
Good for the $$

older hotel, but the showers work, the locks work, the TV works and the bed can be slept on. Good vegas spot, fun casino. If you are looking for the 4&5 stars, then look else where come to this place to gamble it is fun and not as snooty.
