Very nice stay

I stayed here for a conference in Hershey. The Hotel was very clean and the staff was really friendly. The location is ideal and there are numerous restaurants within a short walk.

We visited Hershey PA towards the end of July 08. We were looking for a hotel that was within walking distance of the Hershey Attractions. This one was it! The staff was very friendly and the hotel very clean. The continental breakfast offered was also very well maintain and displayed. They do have a shuttle that takes you to Hershey Park, but the shuttle holds only 15 passengers per trip. The shuttle only takes about 15 minutes back and forth. Very convenient. Hershey Park is within walking distance if you decide not to wait for the shuttle. I do however recommend to make sure that there is no concert taking place around the time of your visit. The Hershey arena is about a mile away and when they have a concert you can hear the whole thing. I laid awake waiting for the group "Three Doors Down" to finish their concert. It was very loud, other than that everything in the hotel was excellent. If you prefer to do some shopping there is a local bus that takes you to the Outlets and Hershey when in Peak season. I believe the bus runs twice an hour. I hope this review comes in handy if you are planning a trip to Hershey Park and its attractions.

Overall the hotel was ok. Smelled musty when you first got off the elevator. The kicker that pushed me over the edge is that the Air conditioning is thermostatically controlled with a motion detector!!! We left the room for dinner thinking we were coming back to a cool, comfortable room and it was still how i left it, HOT. Apparently the $* a night is not enough money to allow the customer to determine what temperature they like to sleep in. if you don't move at night when you are sleeping the a/c will turn off. After finally figuring this out the front desk sent maintenance up to the room to bypass the thermostat altogether. I don't think I would ever stay at this Day's Inn again. THERE AMENITIES SHOULD NOT LIST A/C AS WE KNOW IT.

Moldy, smelly shower curtain & filthy air vents. Front desk did nothing about it even though I stayed several days. Given someone else's receipt at checkout.

The room was clean. The bathroom was a bit outdated and could use improvement. The indoor pool was very cold.We took a dog and the additional pet fees were reasonable. They did give us the travel agency discount although we don't subscribe. Good location.
