great expectations, big let down

We stayed for two nights, but nevver again! Our room faced an intense parking lot light and the curtains made the glare fuzzy at best with no light blocking ability whatsoever.
We spent our day away from the hotel and when we returned later that evening, we found the room just the way we left it. No housekeeping service made it to us. The next morning when I complained, the person at the front desk just said they would pass on the information. Very uncaring. Needless to say, I frequently travel to this area, but will no longer give them my business.

The hotel was actually better than advertised. The room looked as good as the on line photo. We were able to get a king sized bed although one was not available at time of booking the room. The desk staff ,day and night, were very friendly and helpful. We shall stay there again when we return to New London.

I stay at this hotel about every other month and staff have always been very helpful. They even kept the lounge open an extra hour so we could relax when we arrived late. I think the location of the hotel is great. It's within walking distance of restaurants, shopping and a short walk to Ocean Beach.

We stayed here for a wedding in town. Just so happened that both the church and reception location were within 2 minutes of the hotel. Room service breakfast was very good and very prompt. Only complaint is that I was on a no smoking floor and there was a heavy odor of smoke in the middle of the hallway near the elevator; but it wasn't anything that we couldn't deal with. I am going to stay there again at the end of November and I am looking forward to it.

My wife and I went to the in-house restaurant for lunch. The hamburger I had was tasteless, mushy and grey in color. We left and enjoyed the rest of the day. Upon our return to the hotel, we inquired about breakfast hours and were told it was open for breakfast until 11:00 AM. In the morning when we went for breakfast at 10:25, it was closed. We went elsewhere for breakfast but the point I am amking is that hours of operation should be just that. Except for the incidents at the restaurant, the accomodations were excellent.
