No surprises with the Holiday Inn Express. Very clean and the staff was friendly and efficient. They do have a small pool, in the rear of the parking lot, but I don't think many of the guests use it. The lobby was pleasant and the breakfast was enjoyable. Tuesday and Wednesday they have customer appreciation nights. A local restaurant caters a meal each night which is available, to anyone, in the lobby.
Great staff, safe.

Traveled as a solo woman and feeling secure was important. Hotel rooms are all off the interior hallways; only entrance to hotel was through the front door that opened to the front desk. Both evening and morning staff were friendly, engaged and professional. Evening person knew I would be returning late and kept an eye for me, which I really appreciated. Good continental breakfast in the morning--much more than danishes. Nice central gathering space with computer and printer freely available. Only down side was the noise. Any sound in hallway could be heard in the room, was awakened several times throughout the night. Would stay again for business or vacation and sleep w/ TV on low.

Dramatic cathedral-ceiling lobby. Elegant traditional decor. Entire facility very clean, well laid out and comfortable. One of the nicest Holiday Inn Expresses we stayed in on this trip.

Good hotel with easy access to all major highways in the area Very clean room and pleasant staff in the hotel We were very pleased with the hotel, the service, the people, the location and our total experience in New Bern - so much so that we went and bought a house in the area and will retire there in a few years

I stayed for 3 nights. It was very clean i actually saw the maid scrubbing the floor with a tooth brush. The breakfast was great there was a lot to choose from. We had the pool to ourselves for 2 days. I will be staying here again next year. I loved it.
