A Good Place to Stay

Having stayed at this motel on a previous occasion, and after having had a very unhappy experience at Econo Lodge, we did what we should have done in the first place, check in to the QI. Although it was 4th of July weekend, the desk staff was able to place us in a non-smoking room and went out of their way to turn a 'NO VACANCY' 4th into a cancellation filling room for us. Speaking of the front desk...they went out of their way to help, be friendly, and they were just a pleasure do do business with. The room was fairly well appointed and kudos to the housekeeping staff....the bedding was changed daily, towels, cups, paper, soap, shampoo, and other amenities were kept well stocked. The pool was clean and safe, the vending machines adequate, the common areas were clean and well-policed, and the continental breakfast well appointed. We definitely will stay at the QI when we are visiting Wilmington.

No problems here

I checked in 5/31 and from the front desk person to be very hospitable, professional appearance, and well spoken. The room was on the small side, but it was just me so no big deal. The room including the bathroom was spotless clean. There did not seem to be many guests there so it was a quiet night. I went to the pool to relax a bit and do a crossword (even snuck in a beer) and it too was clean and well kept. The only problem I saw was at breakfast. I was the only one thereat the time, apparently after many others had been there evident by the garbage can next to the waffle maker overflowing to the point waffle batter was dripping on the floor. It was in plain view yet the girl manning the food area did not seem to care about taking care of it. I was there for close to a half hour and she really had nothing else to do. I found that pretty lazy, Other than that, the place was fine. It had one of the better rates in town at $71. plus tax.

Highly recommend this Quality Inn

This hotel is aptly named. From check-in to check-out, everything was "Quality". We were treated like we were very important persons. Visited the desk three times and the persons there were both friendly and accommodating. We did not use room service, nor the pool. The room was very clean. It was furnished with a refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and of course, a TV. Each of these appeared to be fairly new and worked very well. The shower was outstanding. Good pressure, clean, well maintained. The staff was very courteous. All this for a very modest price. Probably the best buy for the buck in Wilmington. We can say this because we have have stayed in several others there at about the same rates or slightly higher. This was the best. Will stay there again and recommend "Quality".

Would stay here again!

I thought the hotel was very clean. Starting with the lobby and ending in my room. The room was exceptionally clean, I even looking behind the bed and it was clean. My last 2 visits to Wilmington did not produce good rooms, I stayed at the Ramada the 1st time, the hotel was musty, not enough staff on duty, remote didnt work and carpet was not very clean. Next was the howard Johnson's, nasty!! This time I got lucky and stayed at the Quality Inn. The desk clerk on duty at check-in was very friendly and he went to the college my son goes to, UNC. He gave me a decent rate and put me near the pool, at my request. Next morning, I was pleasantly surprised with the breakfast. It was the best continental breakfast, I ever had. Lots of variety, and plenty of everything. thanks. I will be coming on family weekend in August, and hope to get a room.

Annoyed

I had to change rooms an hour after check-in because it was windy and the room was very drafty and cold. The second room the toilet wouldn't stop running on its own. The wireless internet service didn't work in either room. I was forced to get a bridge unit from the office to get service. I found out after lugging a lot of stuff up the stairs the 2nd day my card no longer worked. I had to lug all the stuff back down to go to the office to find out that they deactivate them everyday. You think they would tell the customers this in advance. I would not stay at this hotel again.
