We arrived at our hotel at about 11am, and were very pleased because the management brought us right to our room. The guy on duty walked us up to our room, showed us where the bathroom and shower room were located.
The hotel is older, but to me kind of historic. The elevator is unique as you have to open a outside door before the elevator doors open, and it is very small.
We were on the 6th floor, in a small room with two beds, a fridge, desk, tv and a sink. Wish there was a dresser. We were hardly in our rooms, to busy exploring the sites of the cities. For me and my two sons, (11 and 12) this was a perfect place to stay. The money we saved in hotel expense allowed us to take in some other tourist things.
If you are looking for a fancy place, do not book this, if you are looking to save money and have a place to sleep, I would recommend it.
It is located on a dead end street, very residental and very safe! Riverside park is just across the street, cool park to go to. Front desk and mgmt were very nice, when we had a problem with our lock, Billy the manager came right up and fixed it.
They allowed us to store belongings in the hotel upon checkout and were very helpful! Location is great only a couple of blocks from subway, a long walk to Times Square, but my children loved walking there and seeing all the sites on the way.
I would stay here again, trust me it isn't the Ritz, and nothing like a Motel 6, but it is safe and inexpensive and a place to sleep is all we needed.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. If sharing a bath bothers you, this is not the place for you. For a quick trip in and out, with limited time in the room, this is a great value. It is bare bones, but we went to see two Yankee games and were in the room only to sleep, change and go. Close to the Subway.
The worst pit on the planet

I've stayed all over the planet, Less comforts than the Australian outback and none of the natural amenities. This was horrid... should've demanded my money back. Cramped rooms and you had to share a bathroom... My girlfriend was afraid to use this seedy bathroom unless I stood outside the door and waited for her to be done. The walls were paper thin so lot's of noise in the middle of the night. Oh and their version of free parking is "on street" where there is no available space and an out of state licensed vehicle almost always gets broken into... The paid garage next door was $43.00 more... add that to the room and it is not such a good deal.

If cost is a factor and you don't plan to spend much time at the hotel, this place is for you! This time, took our teenagers to NY(2 rooms) so really didn't want to spend much on hotel costs. However, it definitely took a while for us to warm up to this place .... shared bathrooms -- not 2 rooms with a shared bathroom, as in 2 bathrooms down the hall!!! The heating situation was unpredictable as the radiator valve really didn't seem to make a difference in adjusting the level of heat. At one point, we tried to wedge a towel in the window so that some of the heat could escape and the whole window actually came out (not kidding)! There was an A/C unit in that room, but no available electrical outlet to plug into. That said, WE HAD A WONDERFUL TIME! The hotel is in a nice, quiet & safe neighborhood away from the madness yet within walking distance to a subway station, bus station, Gray's Papaya, Zabar's Deli, and a delightful establishment at the corner of Broadway and 71st (wish I remembered the name because we ate there almost daily). The hotel provides daily maid service, toilet paper - very important to keep up with the toilet paper, and fresh towels (but bring your flip-flops, & washcloths/scrubbies if that's important to you as they don't seem to stock anything other than hand and bath towels). All in all, it was a fun-filled vacation....we showered and slept nightly without incident; and, were up and gone long before 10am each day. And, only twice did we actually see another person go into our communal bathroom; so, it wasn't nearly as bad as we imagined it would be upon arrival. Go, and HAVE FUN!

Este hotel es MALISIMO, sucio, viejo y todas las habitaciones apestan a cigarro. Las ba?eras deber?an donarse a un museo. Aunque los ba?os son compartidos, algunas puertas de ba?os nisiquiera tienen cerrojo.
No lo recomiendo y nunca volver? a pasar malos ratos qued?ndome all?.
