Comfy Beds!

Me and my good friends took a getaway to San Francisco, our trip was based around shopping and going out! So this location totally met our standards!! It was right across from china town which was sweet, cause good sushi and cheap buys. Also it came in handy when I needed incense due to the horrible mildew smell in the room.. I know it is an old building and I usually dont complain about that stuff but it was bad..
Rooms were pretty small and not enough space for all our stuff, let alone the no counter space for our toliteries! But all round staff was awesome, excpet for one moody chick and the cafe next door was great! Once ur there too the pictures are'nt the same.. its kinda cheezy but cool/different!
V-Day Celebration in the Haagen Dasz Sweet Suite

I booked the Haagen Dasz suite for the Friday after Valentine's Day as a surprise gift for my boyfriend. Although I had confirmed well in advance, when I arrived, the front desk clerk told me that they had given the suite away. I was quite disappointed, to say the least, as, since I am a local, I had selected the room for its novelty - otherwise, I could sleep at home in my SF apartment. They tried to convince me that the Kathy Griffin suite was an equally romantic substitute, but that was a hard sell! After an hour of gentle insistence, they finally installed me in the room I had initially reserved - just in time to get ready for the evening. The gimmick of the room, all you can eat ice cream, was delightful, but I thought it was pretty overpriced, totaling over $470 after taxes. I joined fellow guests in the lobby for the wine social, which was very nice. Finally, I surprised my boyfriend with the suite and he thought it was adorable. Overall, I think the hotel has the right idea - it's hip, stylish and fun - however, it is very overpriced and the rooms lack luxury.
I would not return.

My FAVORITE hotel EVER! I will recommend this FUN boutique hotel to EVERYONE I know. Super friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff from the moment we pulled up to the front door to the moment we left. Great location for seeing all the important tourist spots, shopping, restaurants, and transportation. Guests (with pets) congregated each evening for the wine reception in the very comfortable lobby area with the ever-burning fireplace and eclectic, funky furniture ? you expect to look over and see the Mad Hatter (with Cheshire Cat) sitting next to you!! It felt like one big happy family. The price is unbeatable!! If it hasn?t come across yet?? I LOVED THIS HOTEL!!!

The Triton is in a great part of the city - close to Union Square and BART along Market Street.
Starting with the warm greeting from the doorman to the excellent front desk service, I was very impressed with the overall service of this hotel. The pre-dinner wine and beer service in the lobby was very nice and well managed. Like most affordable urban hotels the rooms were small, but very well appointed and extremely comfortable.
Next time I have business in the city I will once again stay at the Hotel Triton.

We loved where the location was at - right in front of Chinatown and around the major shopping/downtown area. It was very convenient to everything. The room was small yet very cozy with a cool and stylish decor and we didn't mind that. After all, our week in the most beautiful and amazing city was mainly for sightseeing! The staff was very friendly and helpful to us. They recommended great restaurants and even helped look up places we couldn't find! Another perk about the hotel is the happy hour they offer -- we loved the complimentary wine and beer in the lobby! Since this was our first time in San Francisco, we made a great choice in hotel and enjoyed every minute of our vacation! Looking forward to going back and will definitely stay here again.
