Fabulous Modern Hotel

We had a bit of a girls getaway and stayed in a fabulous room - very nice modern decor, felt like I was watching HGTV or some classy design show. Very comfy clean with lots of extras. We had access to a little lounge area that provided free drinks such as sodas throughout the day as well as hours of breakfast bites, hor'doveurs, and desserts which was a great plus. We didn't want to rent a car so we used the railways which is right next to the hotel, short 5 minute walk to get up to the loading area, otherwise we just grab cabs cause it was close to all. We enjoyed lounging at the pool area; they had relaxing extra cushioned chaizes in bright colors that kept us there for hours just chitter chatting. No complaints at all, concierge desk was super friendly and helpful at helping us get around. Would definitely stay there again when I make it out that way!!

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The food at Envy was very good. The walk to the monorail was okay and allowed access to a variety of areas of interest. The decor was modern and the amenities were sufficient and very clean. I would stay there again.

Just returned from two night stay at this hotel. We booked the Romance Package at no extra charge through online travel website which included champagne and chocolate covered strawberries that were delivered within 10 minutes of our arrival. Breakfast vouchers for up to $18.00 each were also part of this package for both mornings we were there and the breakfast was excellent. This hotel was immaculate from the lobby to the room. Very friendly efficient and attentive staff who really want to please you. Did not use the fitness facility but it appeared to be more than adequate. Pool and spa area looked inviting but the weather prohibited its use. This is an entirely smoke free environment even in the hotel bar. The tram is conveniently located across a parking lot about 200 yards away. We did not have dinner at the ENVY restaurant but I was impressed with their extensive selection of fine wines. If you don't care about staying right on the strip, this is a convenient, quiet non-gaming hotel. We will definately stay there again.
First time in Vegas

I decided to accompany a friend for their first time in Vegas. The rep told me the hotel was close to the strip. Not at all. Front desk staff was friendly. Concierge was helpful. The golf course at the Wynn plus ongoing construction makes the location and accessibility to some of the area attractions impossible. There are several apartment complexes near the hotel. The people who live there are very suspicious looking, I would not walk at night unless you have a death wish. The room was small and the view was looking at the parking garage. They were suppose to replace the water in the mini fridge every day and that did not happen. Our fridge did not work properly. Also to make matters worse, toilet stopped working on the second day of the visit. After boasting of Vegas to my friend, I was very embarrassed to have chosen this hotel. I will not recommend it to anyone to stay at unless they were attending a convention. Yes the tram and convention center is across the street but like I mentioned before not very safe to walk to them.
Elegant, classy and tranquil

Our stay at the Rennaissance met or exceeded our expectations. We appreciated the modern, elegant design (refreshingly not over the top) and the fact that everything worked. Upon checkin at about 10pm we were offered an upgrade, even though they had overbooked for the night. We took it and it was worth every penny of the extra ~$* /night to have a room on a high floor with great view of LasV. and access to the breakfast buffet /snack lounge on the top floor. The monorail stop is really convenient (get the full day pass), and the hotel offers a stylish, but more tranquil retreat from the hubbub of the casinos.
Downside - the "acclaimed" Envy Restaurant. a) it was OK but nothing great for folks used to dining in San Francisco and Milan; b) overpriced and c) you didn't get the 20%-OFF coupont till you had stayed there one night (attached to you a.m. newspaper), so dining there the first night was a mistake. A small flaw in an otherwise excellent experience.
