Nice Hotel in Union Square

We have no complaints about the hotel - the rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was good for what we needed. We slept very peacefully and never heard any outside noises! There were a lot of people begging in the area and that was disturbing when out walking - The city of San Francisco should deal with this issue! The parking was $ a night and people need to know that when planning a vacation! We did not eat in the hotel restaurants so I cannot comment on that. I would definetly stay here again! Thanks for another great travel bargain!

My wife and I went to spend our anniversary in San Francisco and had a great time. The Westin St. Francis was in the best location possible for us on our first ever visit to Frisco, right in Union Square! The shopping was great and the hotel was within walking distance from many restaurants and local sites (trolly cars, Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown, Little Italy, and AT&T Park).Would definitely stay there again!!

The hotel was great. However, I wish I would have know I could have rented a car there at the hotel for my day trip to Napa and Somona.
Nice Hotel but Dishonest Staff in Parking Garage

Stayed at St. Francis in Aug. 2007. The staff in the hotel garage damaged my rental vehicle when they parked it, then the garage refused to pay the rental co. (Hertz) even though I had a form indicating that there was no prior damage to the vehicle when I rented it. The parking attendant tried to return the vehicle to me without mentioning the damage to the vehicle. Outrageous behavior, in particular because you pay top dollar for the daily parking at the hotel, approx. $50/day. It is a nice hotel and location and have stayed there before, but because of this incident I would never stay there again.

I was offered an ?upgrade? when I checked in and got to the room to find a Henry Bed (pulls out from the wall). This hotel is old and lacking compared to the other Westin?s I have stayed at. The location is great but that doesn?t make up for this overpriced dinosaur.
