Okay, but not great

We stayed here during Oracle OpenWorld. I made the reservations and didn't think about air conditioning. Our room didn't have it which wasn't that big of a deal, but would have been nice. We also ended up on a smoking floor and the whole floor smelled pretty bad. Location was great and the staff was very friendly. Older hotel with small rooms, but other than no A/C and the smoke smell, it was okay.

Never again

This was an online "Best Buy" and got good user reviews, so I went ahead and booked my King Suite with a King bed. I checked into this hotel late at 9:30pm and was told all of the King Suites were out and all the hotel had left was Regular rooms with a Queen bed. Sounds like "bait and switch" me! I did get offered breakfast coupons for the inconvenience, but it was terrible so I ended eating breakfast at the local coffee shops instead. Other than that, the room is semi-reasonable yet small, great location to Union Sqaure, and don't expect to get a morning paper.

The hotel is in a nice location. The rooms were small, but very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. I would definitly stay there again.

I thought the King George was a quaint, clean, affordable hotel in downtown SF. The room was small, was very clean. The bathroom was immaculate! All the hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I love the no-smoking policy. The location was great, too. It's walking distance to BART and lots of shopping and restaurants.

Location is good, just off Union Square. Staff was friendly and helpful. Front desk personnel appeared rushed upon our check-in and may have resulted in a bad room assignment. Bed was uncomfortable for two people. Bathrrom was not clean and extremely cramped. Overall, I would not return.
