As a single mom this place was great because it had a refridgerator and microwave so we didn't have to eat at restaurants all the time. Plus it was right across the street from a grocery store and had a walgreens on the same block for all your bottled water needs. The staff was VERY helpful! The directions to get to both seaworld and the zoo are simple and easy since they are both 5-10 minutes away. Great deals all the way around, my child loved it!

Nothing to look at from the outside and not a place to stay if you want to be wowed. But the room itself was spacious, clean, quiet, comfortable. Good location for easy access to airport, downtown, and sea world/mission bay. Lots of cheap but good dining choices within walking distance. We went with the Einstein's bagels across the street for breakfasts. Courteous staff. Comfortable place to be if you just need a place to crash after doing the theme park thing.

This hotel is a little older but has been renovated. It was a good size. We brought a pack-n-play for our toddler and we had lots of room to manuver around it. The hotel was in a prime location where restaurants were easily accessible. Target and Ralph's (grocery store) were just a block away. It was also nice to be able to park at the hotel for free as many other hotels in San Diego charge a fee for parking. Sea World and the beach were close and the zoo was easy to find from this location.

Hi, I stayed at this hotel April 22nd-April 29th. I came to San Diego to surf and it was very close to all beaches.
Pros: good price, great location (highway 5 is 1 minute away and the airport is 5 minutes away), free internet access, clean room, very comfortable bed, friendly staff, fridge, sofa, tv with many channels, nice bathroom etc.
Cons: I could hear the person's tv next door. No big deal. I think they had it loud to begin with.
