Great Stay, Very Nice Room, Perfect

My mother and I stayed for 5 nights in a room with 2 beds over the Thanksgiving holiday. The room was spacious. The staff was friendly. The continental breakfast was good. The place was very clean. We slept soundly every night. I was glad they provide an iron, ironing board and hair dryer. I made use of it all. The pillows are full. There were 3 on each bed. I do not have any complaints. This is my second stay at this hotel. I will return again (probably in the spring). The room rate was great. I booked it through Travelocity. I called the hotel directly the day of my arrival to let them know that I was not arriving until 9:30 p.m. There was no problem. Check in and check out was quick and easy. Thank you!
Morning Breakfast is Important

We always enjoy staying at LaQuinta Inns because we enjoy a hot waffle or cereal, fruit, yogurt and toast or bagel. it is more than sufficient to start your day right. My treat is having a fresh baked waffle and syrup. I don't make them at home.

Located in an upscale neighborhood, this hotel was clean, comfortable, and a great value for the price. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Can't beat it for the price.

The staff was friendly and capable. Our room was simple and clean, with easy free wi-fi. The lobby carpet and sofa might be described as worn if one were really looking to pick on something. The game controller that I rented for my son did not work properly, but I did not attempt a refund.
The breakfast was served in a nice little room down from the lobby, which contained a TV, padded seat chairs, and small, clean tables. Options included muffins*, oatmeal*, cornflakes, O's, yogurt*, hard-boiled eggs, bread, bagels, english muffins (with a toaster), cream cheese* and jelly*, and hot, fresh waffles you make yourself (it's very easy). There's regular and decaf coffee, skim & 2% milk, orange juice, hot tea bags & water. Quite nice, as I was expecting coffee and stale danish or something!
Don't know what people are expecting for the price, but we had a good night at La Quinta, the room was clean, and we will return next time we are in Omaha.

When trying to check-in around 3pm I was faced with a hand written sign "be back soon." I waited about 20 minutes for anyone to return to the check-in desk, while listening to a phone ringing incessantly the entire time. When she returned, I was asked whether I intended on paying by cash or charge, to which I replied that I already paid on travel agent. I gathered all my luggage from the car and headed to the room, only to find the one I had been given had not yet been cleaned - I put everything back in the car and headed back to the desk. They apologized and provided another clean room immediately.
The pool, although it seemed clean, is actually in the parking lot and looks nothing like the pictures.
The Perkins next door has been closed and abandoned, so several people were taking advantage of the empty parking lot to work on their cars. I got the feeling that several people actually lived in the hotel.
The morning's breakfast offered english muffins and toast but no jam or butter, which I found puzzling and annoying. Peanut butter and cream cheese were options, presumably for the bagels which I were on a different table and I didn't see till it was too late.
No bill was put under my door the morning of check out, so I just put the keys in the room and left.
