Description: I stayed here for a business/pleasure trip. It''s not the type of hotel I typically opt for (I usually go for smaller places with some character), but I was very pleased with the rooms and service. We had a large, clean, nicely decorated room with all the amenities, a balcony and a terrific view of the marina. The service was excellent - the front desk was very good with directions and restaurant recommendations, and we were very pleased with room service and housekeeping''s special attention).
The Marriott Hotel and Marina is a huge complex, with two high-rise towers and over 1000 rooms. There are numerous banquet and conference facilites, several restaurants, and a lovely pool area. The hotel is within easy walking distance of a very nice waterfront pedestrian shopping area that features several restaurants and bars, and is also within walking distance to the historic Gaslamp Quarter.
