The service when we checked in was great. Very friendly staff. The room was clean and nice sized. The view was amazing. The pool was very warm and had a lot of seating around it. I am looking forward to going back again.

Great Place in a Great Location

  • March 31, 2008

I hated to leave this hotel. The staff was most helpful, courteous, and understanding. They did everything we asked and more to make our stay comfortable. The room was absolutely clean and the bed was a dream. The hotel is located right on the bay with the walking path all the way to the airport and past/through Seaport Village right outside the door. The pool area is terrific (although the water slide was not working when we were there) and to top it all off, the view from the balcony of our room toward Coronado Island was simply gorgeous. Short walk to downtown, Gas Light district, and the trolly stop. It was a great value in a great place. I can't wait to go back.

Last year hotel was much better!

  • August 8, 2007
  • Rated 3 of 5 by a traveler from Travelocity.com
We stayed at this hotel because we enjoyed it so very much in the summer of 2006. Our room safe would not open, security was to repair it. They never showed up. You will hear trains going by ALL hours of the night. The room last summer was larger. We paid extra for the marina view. We were on the very far corner of the hotel. We hardly had any view of the marina. Wasn't worth spending the extra $ on it. the bed last year was very comfortable. Not the case this time. The location is great. The pool area is beautiful. There's a pretty pond with fish. Seaport Village is next to the hotel. Nice place to walk around. I won't stay again. I am picky, probably would have thought better of the hotel had I not stayed last year. Completely opposite experience this time. Parking is a hassle too!

San Diego-Marriott Marina

Great hotel, incredible location, was within walking distance to a lot of activities so didn't have to pull the car out every time. Great views, bustling hotel, very busy, but checkin was very fast. Only down side was could use some more parking.
