Lovely Stay

The rooms are small, but very clean and well appointed. We stayed in Tower 1. Floors 26 and above have 'upgraded bedding'--ask for it!! The staff (with exception of front desk & bar) was very friendly. Good free breakfast buffet every morning. Pool was nice. Fantastic view from rooftop restaurant--nice meal. Spa & gym are lovely. Not in the best SF neighborhood. (Avoid the Mona Lisa restaurant in the Italian Section of SF).

elegant stay

Very elegant room furnishings at level 12 where I stayed. But between level 7 to 10 where we accessed the garage, the decorations in the corridors are way older and simpler - not sure if the rooms at these levels are as good. Great experience at great price. But if I knew of the parking ($40 a day) fee, I may have chosen a different hotel/location to stay. But overall, it's worth it with a bit of inconvenience (we end up taking taxi to go everywhere once we realize parking is so difficult and expensive in the city.)

We loved this hotel. We had a beautiful room with a great view. Stayed here once before with our kids. Would definitely recommend it. Nice gym and spa. Close to everything.

We were in San Fran for a concert, so it was a short stay, but a GREAT stay! We walked in and were very impressed by the atmosphere. I was VERY happy to see a Starbucks on my left. This place is pretty huge, so it could be easy to get a little lost.. but this wasn't an issue. We got to our room in no time..very nice beds, great blankets. We requested more blankets, pillows, and a refridgerator - and they arrived within 20 minutes or so. Room service was a little pricey, but we were expecting that. The food was outstanding! My only concern about the menu was that there was no shrimp! I usually get shrimp cocktail when i'm staying in a hotel, and when I called they said they don't serve it. But again, that wasn't a big deal. The next day we used the pool.. it was a bit small and cold - and the jacuzzi was closed/no water. Keep it mind it was April, so we were ok with that. If it were July, would've been a different story. Their spa is GREAT! It of course is it's own company (can't remember the name of it), but it was great. Very accomidating. The concert venue (Wharfield) was a 5-10 minute walk, so it was perfect location for us. Around the streets of the venue, it was a little ghetto.. but around the hotel, not so much. I felt safe staying there.. and I'd do it again. In fact, i'd LOVE to stay there again. I definitely plan on it next time i'm in San Fran.
