Our unit had two bedrooms. The master bedroom had a whirlpool tub. The unit was not as large as some, but it was very nice and close to everything. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. The staff was very helpful.

We highly recommend this resort!! It is beautiful and they are adding more and more. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I was able to check in almost two hours early and they held my luggage so I could wander around while waiting. They will also set get any tickets or make recommendations as needed. The pool area is great. The rooms are very spacious with beautiful views.

It’s not far from the beach, restaurants, nightlife, or shopping, but still quiet and secluded.

Beach, golf, Broadway at the Beach, Charleston

Best Things About the Resort:
Indoor/outdoor pools, exercise room

Resort Experience:
The resort was nicely landscaped, with fountains located in ponds around the grounds. They were building additional units while we were there, and even though our balcony was right across the pond from the construction, it did not interfere with our stay. Our unit was a large two-bedroom on the fourth floor of building 12. There was a skylight in the living room. The kitchen was fully stocked with colourful dishes, ample silverware, and glasses for the four adults and two children using them. The master bedroom was huge. The king-size bed was so comfortable, that it was the first time I can remember not craving my own bed while on vacation. The bedroom had its own door to the balcony, a television, and a jacuzzi bathtub. There was a sink in the jacuzzi area as well as one in the bathroom, where the stand-up shower was also located. The second bedroom was small, but had its own television and two full-size beds. There was a door to the main bathroom from the second bedroom. The unit also had its own laundry, which is always a plus. The unit was brightly decorated and very clean.

Best Things Nearby:
Pawleys Island for shell collecting, Alligator Adventure at Barefoot Landing, and watching the sunrise at the beach

Best Things About the Resort:
Beautiful surroundings with mini lakes and fountains, huge pool joining indoor and out.

Resort Experience:
This resort is amazing. Although it is almost a mile to the beach, it is a beautiful and spacious property.

The rooms themselves were beautifully decorated and everything you could need was supplied [except food and laundry soap]. If we ran out of a supplied item, a phone call had it there within minutes.

It is within walking distance to Boardwalk at the Beach where there is shopping, great entertainment [try The Duelling Pianos], fabulous food, a huge movie theatre, Ripley’s Aquarium, etc. There is no end of things to do in the area and lots more within a two-hour drive!

This resort wears its crown well. We had a two-bedroom/two-bathroom unit on the fourth floor with a nice sized balcony looking over a small lake with a bridge. Though we were not crazy about the colors – red, green, blue, and yellow -- all the rooms were more than ample in size. We did like the spaciousness of the unit, including the two tiled bathrooms. We had four people in our unit and we never had the feeling of having to wait or being in the way. There was no need to compromise due to lack of space! The tiled kitchen has everything, and is crisp and clean with white cabinets, appliances, and counters. Each carpeted bedroom has a phone and a TV, and the master bedroom has a king-sized bed with a side door leading out to the balcony – it’s great for late night star-gazing or just sitting at the table enjoying the quiet. We did this a few nights when it was not FREEZING! The smaller bedroom has two double beds with a window. A counter/bar separates the kitchen from the living/dining area. There is a glass, rectangular table in the dining room with wicker chairs. The living room, too, is nicely decorated with a sleeper sofa and two well-cushioned chairs. The sliding glass door leads to the balcony. Extras made the unit feel special, like the throw pillows for the sofa and the beds and quite a few decorative plants in baskets and pots placed on tables, counters, and in corners. In addition, there is a stereo system and a VCR, as well as a washer and dryer. There is a jacuzzi just off the master bedroom and so much vanity space -- with three women in the unit, that was such a treat!

And talk about peace and quiet -- we never even saw another person on our floor, although the parking lot behind our building was quite full. The grounds are well-maintained and when we were there, the workers were putting fresh mulch around the many shrubs and trees. Blue, yellow, and white pansies were planted all around the resort. Check-in and check-out were smooth and easy.

The main building has several rooms that are used for guest activities, such as a computer access room. We didn't participate in resort-planned activities because there is so much to do in the Myrtle Beach area. There is a huge pool at this resort and, though we wanted to try it out, the air was just too cool for our middle-aged skin. The pool extends inside to provide for lousy weather. Security is a priority because to enter this resort, you need to show that you belong inside. A mile east of this resort is the beautiful Atlantic Ocean and minutes away are many fabulous restaurants and shopping areas; right across the street is Broadway at the Beach with its many attractions. WHAT A GREAT LOCATION! There is no better place to stay than the Sheraton's Broadway Plantation.
