Great location to the Plaza. Beautiful grounds. The owners are in the process of updating the rooms. Our room was nice except we wanted the windows open. The screens did not fit and the windows were difficult to crank open--but we did it. There is a $30 daily use fee, which is not optional. That fee includes valet parking, a good exercise room, hot tub, and swimming pool. My husband enjoyed a great breakfast on our last day there, expensive, but well worth the price. Everyone was very, very friendly at La Posada. On Friday evening there was live music on an outdoor patio with a wood burning fire ring--romantic. They also have an incredible spa on the grounds, which includes massages, pedicures, etc. I did not use it, but my husband has had a massage there in the past and my daughter in law always goes there for her pedicures and she is a local. I am giving a 3 star on the room only because there was a greasy spot on the carpet right by the bed, and it took housekeeping two days to come and clean it up. Otherwise, housekeeping did a good job. The grounds were gorgeous.

My husband and daughter traveled to NM for spring break and stayed at La Posada. I was initially cautious because of their low rating but I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The facility and service exceeded my epectations! The staff was friendly, attentive and catered to our needs. The room was quaint nicely decorated wiht a fireplace. The linen was wonderful and of good quality, the bed slept great! I would recommend this resort a thousand times over based on this one visit. We plan to return soon without children for a ramantic get away.

La Posada was recommended to my wife and I. We are in our 40's and travel somewhat frequently and enjoy the finer things in life now that the kids are gone! We arrived to a pleasant greeting, but from that point on our 3-night visit went downhill. Granted, the resort has a great location, within walking distance of the plaza, and the grounds are somewhat nice. However, the service was average at best, the spa was average and the room decor was worn-out and dated. This place is WAY OVER RATED in our opinioin. To add insult to the trip, the valet service (which is the only option for car parking in this area) damaged our vehicle and said we couldn't prove they did it. When was the last time you felt you had to do a car inspection prior to handing over the keys to your vehicle so that proof of damage was undisputable? Geez. Ruined our weekend and if you decide to stay here, take a vehicle that you don't mind getting damaged! Oh yes, without going into details I know for fact another guest had their vehicle damaged that same weekend, so this was not an isolated incident.
Stayed at the facility for many years, never again!

We checked in early but did not go to the room till evening. We have stayed there a dozen times since it opened many years ago. It was 85 degrees when we entered the room. When we tried to cool it off the air did not work since we later found out the heat pump was frozen. The furniture was worn, the floors were dirty. When we reported all of this to the manager he said he would look into it. We asked for a modest reduction in the rate given all the inconvenience. We never got a response, we emailed and called after we left, again no response.
We loved the hotel for many years. The new management is rude and unresponsive, we will never stay there again.
