Great Stay!

  • March 19, 2007
  • Rated 5 of 5 by a traveler from Travelocity.com
This is an old, clean, comfortable hotel. Not used to the city, we felt very secure here. Bell staff always said 'hello' and 'welcome back'. Breakfast was fantastic - great way to save money eating bfast @ hotel! Attached restaurant, nice, expensive and menu not family friendly, but everything is close by so no problem. Pool too much chlorine and hot tub TOO hot, but overall very nice & will definately stay again. Suite well worth little extra $$ each night.

best bed ever

We were so happy with the king bed. It was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. We would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was a little disappointing. The eggs tasted artificial.

Trendy & Touristy

The location and price were great. I work in the city and my wife (from suburbia) met me for a theatre show and night on the town. I liked the location, my wife loved the bed and pillows... The hotel is in the middle of the River North area. Trendy restaurants, tourist attractions and restaurants are abound. Keefer's to Ballo, Red Lobster to McDonald's, and everything in between. All within walking distance.

This is a great place for a family and in fact, the hotel was full of families. Four of us stayed very comfortably in a suite room. Complete kitchen saved money.Service was excellent throughout the hotel. Breakfast buffet was complete and filling. Very close and convenient to stores,Navy Pier, and restaurants. The only downside was expensive parking, but that was true everywhere in downtown Chicago.

Highly Recommended!

Our group of 7 college friends of 40 years met to "celebrate" our birthdays. The staff was FABULOUS (friendly/helpful/caring), accommodations fit our needs, location convenient. We highly recommend!
