The Delta Chelsea is one of, if not the largest hotel in Canada with almost 1600 rooms over 27 floors. I've stayed at the Delta Chelsea a couple of times over the years, once on business and once for pleasure. I have a friend to goes to Toronto every summer for a long weekend and she always stays at the Delta. We both agree, the service is excellent and the location is amazing. It is set in off Yonge Street and away from the worst of the traffic noise yet it's only a quick stumble to the buzz of Yonge and a block from the Bay and the subway station there. The Eaton Centre is only a couple of blocks away and the theatre district is walking distance too. The rooms are a decent size, some larger than others. I've only ever had the standard Queen room but it more than met my needs.
There are a couple of restaurants on site, and a couple of bars. Breakfast wasn't included with the price of the basic room and the breakfast buffet in the Market Garden casual restaurant, though it is really good, is a bit pricey. Standard for a hotel, though. They have a pool and rooftop fitness centre (adults only) as well as a rooftop cocktail bar with great views over the city and comfy chairs.
The airport bus stops here so it's easy to get to and from. It's one of the largest hotels in Toronto but definitely worth trying out. Prices for a basic room are reasonable for downtown Toronto at about $150 for a weeknight to about $125 for a weekend but they are always running specials, and packages too so check the website
Self service laundry available. Parking available but it's expensive. They also allow small to medium size pets but they charge extra per night for extra cleaning. See the web site for the complete pet policy and charges.
A variety of room types from a standard queen room to suites. Most Rooms have high speed internet access (at a cost of course). Many also have a small outside balcony (but keep in mind that there can also be smog in Toronto). there are family suites and rooms and suites and a club that caters to business travelers and the hotel has some good facilities for families including a games room and a corkscrew water slide over the family pool.

...but concierge lacked basic information about the location of U of Toronto colleges. At check-in, the clerk was brusque and unhelpful. And at the price, there should have been free wireless throughout the hotel and not just in the lobby. Otherwise fine.
Great Experience

The Delta Chelsea is a conveniently located, comfortable hotel with 3 restaurants and 3 bars. The staff is very professional and
accomodating. Our stay was very pleasant!

This was definitely not the four star hotel that was in the pictures. The lobby and workout areas were great, but the room was less than par. The bathroom was dirty and the floor was sticky feeling. The shower was absolutely filthy. Compared to what I thought I was getting I was completely unsatisfied. I would not stay there again.

The hotel is clean, modern, and centrally located. There are several dining options in the hotel. All the service people are courteous and helpful.
