We had a real nice stay at the Holiday Inn. The room was clean and nice and it worked out perfect for a quick 2 night trip to the slopes. The staff was very helpful. I would stay there again!

Good overall but some bad information given prior to arrival

The hotel was in a good location in town. Close to the shuttle stop for the skiing. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are regular not suites so they are a bit overpriced. We decided to go there because they advertised activities for the kids after skiing. The pool was too cold and the ping pong and pool table are at the bar so the kids don't have access to it!. The "three "machines at the arcade were out of order so we were there with the kids and no activities...

Great Stay!

We stayed one night, but it was great! Check-in was easy and we were able to do it early. We were in walking distance of many restaurants and shops that we took advantage of. The room was clean and even though I didn't take the hotel up on the offer, they offered to change the pillows (firmer or softer) and to provide toiletries if you forgot (toothbrush, etc..). The hotel also offered FREE wi-fi for my laptop. That was great! There were plenty of towels and they offered ones from the front desk for the pool. They also had a microwave and a refrigerator which we were happy with so we could have popcorn and cold drinks. The only negative thing was that the bathroom door didn't stay open so if you didn't prop it open after taking a shower you would get a musty smell. We propped it open and the problem was fixed. The hotel was close to the mountain, which we took advantage of. We went on the easiest bike ride down Mammoth called the Downtown trail and it wasn't as easy as we thought. This IS mountain biking and you should be prepared. Also we went back up the mountain to take advantage of the hiking. We did a trip to the Devils Monument and then hiked to Rainbow Falls. It was a beautiful sight to behold! Way worth the walking and the money to get in the park.

The hotel was very nice. The rooms were large and very comfortable. The staff was polite and helpful. There is a small lounge in the hotel that was nice (beer/wine only) but we enjoyed relaxing there. The restaurant was very limited, suited for a light breakfast or lunch only. There is no view from the hotel (at all), but who stays in the hotel in Mammoth?

Heavenly Mattresses!

Spent 1 nite here en route to Yosemite in 08/06. Front desk personnel very friendly/helpful. Room very spacious and spotless; the mattresses were the best of our entire vacation! This hotel is located behind a Chevron gas station and car wash, but don't let that throw you; also the exterior siding could be improved upon. However, the lobby is beautiful; we thought the pool size was fine; there is also a nice, clean laundry room with 2 "newish" washers and dryers and also a folding table! Didn't use the 203 Cafe, but we liked everything else about this nice Holiday Inn.
