First time in Fort Lauderdale

We chose the hotel based on thepictures and reviews. We wanted to be near the beach. We were not disappointed. We were able to walk across the street to the beach and were in walking distance to many nice restaurants and bars. The front desk staff and cleaning staff were very polite. Our room was ok. The view of the ocean was fantastic and the beds were comfortable but there were large stains on the carpet and bedspread and the bathroom really needed to be updated. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!

Great stay and experience for the price

Great stay. I rented a car and self-parked($10p/d) ? which became a problem though. The hotel only has the top floors of the garage it uses. I came back at night 2-3 times, had nowhere to park and was forced to secretly park on levels that didn't belong to the hotel. When we arrived, the room we reserved wasn't available. The manager reaccommodated us with a better room, gave me a hotel credit and even offered me a bottle of wine. All told, I was impressed with the level of service, very happy with the stay and would return again.

Horrible spring break for family

Our mistake was going during spring break. We thought maybe since it was a Sheridan and a little more expensive that there wouldn't be many rowdy spring breakers. Wrong!! We were kept up literally all night. We called the front desk every hour from 1am to 5am and security did nothing although we were told they have a zero tolerance policy for loud spring breakers. We left the next morning, we had enough and went to another hotel. The location was great.. maybe this hotel is better during another time of year. Also, no kids activities at all.

Very Impressed

I was a little nervous checking into this hotel after viewing the mixed reviews, but was extremely happy. I had an oceanview (surprise) room on the top level in a room that was great. The room had comfy beds, new decor and was very clean. The staff was very professional and extremely friendly. The deli was a great addition and the prices are about the same as an airport. Beach Place was just a couple short blocks away and then of course the beach was across the street. We will definitely stay here on our next visit to Fort Lauderdale.
