The baldwin is an excellent location in downtown sanfrancisco, close to union square and chinatown. We stayed in a remodeled room which was facing the alley and very quiet. The staff were friendly and accomodating. We would definitely stay again!

We usually stay at the Handlery & thought we'd give this hotel a shot. It's your typical old SF building, no room service and the rooms are small; however, it's really cheap, it was clean and it's walking distance from China Town and Union Square. ...Read more

If you're here solely for shopping. Affordable food choices are hard to find there. The Bart and bus stops are about 4 blocks from the hotel. Complimentary beverages and kettle should b available in the room. Approachable and friendly staff but ...Read more
