We had to wait 2-1/4 hours for our room; the hotel was oversold and despite having a reservation for two months, the front desk repeatedly asked us if we preferred to stay at The Comfort Inn across the street.

We stayed at the Brown Palace for a MOMS getaway weekend for a special event. I am always hesitant when I reserve a place in a big city -basically going in "blind" . I was greatly impressed with the hotel. Great location close to 16th street and Cherry Creek Malls.Staff was great, service was excellent. Cant go wrong staying here!!
Fire alarm

Room was very, very small. Unbearably hot. Fire alarm blasted at 2:00 am for half an hour, then again the following night throughout an unsatisfactory dinner. Bellmen and check-in people did a first class job, but the rest of this historic hotel no longer provides the level of service it once did. As a business traveler, I need something I can depend on consistently. I'll be trying one of the other downtown Denver hotels next time.
