The worst hotel stay in my life. The room was cold, dirty and smelled badly. It was so cold we were not able to take a shower. Cheap sheets, toilettries, toilet paper, no lining for the trash cans. Just nasty!! I do not recommend and I would not stay there again, not even if you paid me.
What is that smell????

The place was cheap, so maybe cheapness should be expected.....but the smell, the whole place smelled....especially the elevators. I don't know if it was mildew or what.

If there was no other place on earth to stay, I would not stay at the El Greco Motel again in life. First of all the front desk clerk did not want to give up the key, secondly, the toilet broke, and we were informed that we would have to wait until morning to get it repaired, third, there was so much mold and mildew on the shower curtains, that we were afraid to close them to shower, the beds had to be sprayed before we could put our own covers on them, the smell was awful. When management was informed about the problems, they offered no resolutions. The staff at the El Greco Dirty lodge should be ashame to call that place a motel.

I chose this establishment for a birthday celebration with friends, and this place was disgusting! After walking in to the hotel I was concerned with the odor, the place had a funny smell, but I looked passed that to old furniture and carpet. My friend then at dinner informed me that she found a hair stuck to the pillow in one of the beds we would be sleeping in! That to me was so disgusting and turned my stomach to where I could no longer eat my birthday dinner! I at that point was looking into a new hotel option especially when my friend informed me that they have a sign to check in your valuables... what kind of place was this? I felt unsafe in this environment the more I investigated it for myself. We then looked around more intensely and noticed that there was brown stains on the underside of the comforter, rusted ventilation grates, shelving I could only call, rusty prison issue wire shelving, to place clothing on, bubbling and chipping paint on the walls and multiple cracked walls and wood partitions by the bathroom. There was also stains on the furniture in the room, filthy windows and curtains that had what looked like red spaghetti sauce or blood splattered on them. We even had an issue that my friend went to use the bathroom and the toilet had feces in it! When I walked in the office they refused refund stating they do not give refunds after check in places that do this because they know they are filthy and have these stipulations because of this. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE CLOSED BY THE HEALTH DEPT!!!! EVERYONE SHOULD BE REFUNDED AND PAID DAMAGES (FOR THERE HEALTH HAS BEEN PUT AT RISK!!Management only cares about the guests money!!!!!!
Very nice motel for the price!

Small, but very clean rooms. Nice location, steps away from the boardwalk. The staff was very nice and helpfull. We really liked the stairs in the lobby. It's a nice, old motel.
