We came for my brother's 36 hour pass so we wanted something close to base but I definitely wouldn't stay here again. It was very close and convenient but when we first checked in we had to switch rooms because it reeked of cigarettes and the new rooms didn't have refrigerators. What a nice exchange. The staff wasn't very friendly but they did switch our rooms when asked so I can't complain there. People were also letting their children run around crazy at night. Not a good place for children. This motel needs to have a curfew and enforce it. I was afraid to lay my 3 week old on the bed because it didn't seem very clean and I didn't want to walk around barefooted in the room either. The cleaning staff was very friendly but I don't think they took their cleaning seriously. It sounded like they had other concerns on their minds and the rooms showed it. At least they were nice. Well. Some of them were. Others looked angry if you went passed them. The stairs closest to our room was right next to the laundry room and the hallway right there was always blocked with laundry carts and when I would try to get past the some of the cleaning ladies would give me dirty looks. Overall it wasn't a very nice place to stay but it has potential. I'm sure more people would stay there over anywhere else in the area if they cleaned up a bit.

The room was filthy, The bathroom especially. The carpet hasn't been cleaned in years. The beds were awful. All of that aside, the area is BAD. I stayed here to be near Ft Benning, which it is, but, my son told me when he found out where I was staying that the soldiers are told not to go into this area unless they are 10 deep. I can believe it. The door was broken and hard to lock. The other rooms had people coming and going at all hours. Homeless people were around begging money. Next trip I will stay at the Hilton. Its not worth saving a few bucks to be so afraid.

Most Horrible Hotel Experience I've Had..Ever!

I traveled with a large group to COlombus to participate in a protest. We were all informed that the hotel had SOLD half of our rooms to people who paid more. Now, we still hadn't checked in by around 9 p.m., but i don't think that's any excuse to sell the rooms that people already paid for. Because of this HUGE inconvenience, there were 6 people in my room and I heard that there were upwards of 9 people in other rooms. My room was a smoking room (even though all it's occupants were to be under 18). The smell made some people sick. I called the front desk to ask for more towels and the woman was VERY rude and blunt. When I went to retrieve the towels from the hotel lobby, it was locked (probably because they didn't want people to riot b/c of the condition of their rooms) and the towels were horrible--like cardboard. The vending machines also ate my friends' money and when we confronted the front desk about this problem, they told us, "don't use those! We can't give you your money back! We don't own the vending machines!" Only about a fourth of the lights in our room actually worked and some didn't even have light bulbs. There were only two skinny little bars of soap. Since there were 6 people in our room, 3 people had to squeeze into the only bed and the rest of us slept on the floor. I ended up having the worst sleep of night I've had in years. The location was terrible. There was nothing in walking distance except for the creepy, run-down trailer park behind the hotel. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!! Find somewhere else!!! This hotel was AWFUL!!

The rooms here were still in renovation stages. The bathroom doorknob was about ready to fall off with the slightest touch. The dressing area with sink had paint chips peeling off of it. The towels provided for showers were too small, not to mention that the shower head was also loose. The wall outlets were hanging from the walls making it dangerous to plug anything in for fear of electricution. There was noone checking to make sure that all of the guests were safe. There was a fight outside my door at 1 am in the morning. The hotel also is not near any of the attractions so that it costs nearly an arm and leg to take a taxi to anywhere. The complimentary breakfast was not very good either as it was usually fruit or cereal. Not very many choices to choose from. Their bowls were styrofoam and stuck together so it was hard to grab just one. Also the untensils were plastic and not very sturdy. I was ashamed to bring my son back to visit with me seeing that he was the reason that I went to GA anyways. The soda and snack machines provided out side were not working most of the time, so that we had to order out in order to have something to drink. That in itself got to be expensive on top of everything else. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone going to Columbus, GA for any reason at all. I just had a very unhappy time there for what was supposed to be a happy occasion. DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!

Cost $89 per room, but should have been below $45!

2 rooms, 4 people staying.....beds made sounds like broken springs, blankets in one room were old and cheap, shower in one room sprayed the entire bathroom (towels & toilet paper included) every time we took a shower. One room smelled bad. We will NEVER stay here again!
