Poor Customer Service

This stay was to be the last night of my vacation. The price was very attractive and I booked for one night. Location was easy to find. Front desk a little busy with about a 10 minute wait for check in person. Informed I was "relocated" even though 3-4 people were able to check into rooms as I was being relocated. Desk person claimed I was notified 2 days before check in of change but on arrival home I had no e-mail or phone message at home or on my cell phone. I was firmly told I was relocated and no matter how mad I got there was no compromise even though I had documentation that I had made reservation 2 months prior. The saving grace was that I was relocated to a Residence Inn about a mile away, given a Queen Business Suite with great amenities and top notch desk staff, full hot breakfast for the same price. It worked our well for me but the Hampton did nothing to dispell my panic about their need to "relocate" me. Very poor customer service.
