When we got there, we noticed how rundown the whole place was. It looked like this hotel is close to being demolished and rebuilt. What an interesting contrast it will be with the Trump Tower Las Vegas development in the works near the Frontier Hotel.
Check-in was easy. We traveled down to our room on the fifth floor. The room was dark and rundown. The bathroom scared me a bit. The tub looked like it needed to be replaced. A white sticker covered the bottom of the tub so that you didn't slip on the surface. It wasn't visually pleasing. At least there was a bar attached to the wall for the handicapped.
There was cable TV and the ability to do a survey on the hotel through the TV. One of the lamps in the room didn't work. Although the room didn't give you the feeling of comfort, at least everything was clean and the air/heat worked in the room.
Check-out would have been easy if my friends didn't misplace their card keys. My friends hunted around their pockets and purses for their keys. One found it after 5 minutes of searching. The other never found it. We were not charged for the missing key, so I'm very glad.
Although the accommodations were not pretty, service was very good.
