Vintage feel, cheap prices

Quote: I was looking for a cheap place to rest my head while attending a writer's conference one weekend in Austin. I needed it to be near downtown, and I was seriously on a strict budget. I found this Days Inn thru Travelocity, and it fit my needs (cheap... Read the full Days Inn University review

Ok

Quote: The room was fine. Internet was in the lobby which was a great bonus. It was a little farther away from downtown than I thought. Walking to places was a tad difficult as well. But no biggie. The restaurant directly next door was GREAT.

Quote: The location was the only plus. If you are attending a game at Texas Stadium, the location is great. The hotel is across the Freeway from Texas University and you can walk to the g ame from there. The room was clean alright but small and not very... Read the full Days Inn University review

Quote: From the second you arrive you realize that this place is a total dump. Just looks rundown and you realize you are really slumming it. Parking lot is very cramped and very hard to maneuver in. I arrived on a Sunday and even on Sunday they were doing... Read the full Days Inn University review

Quote: The hotel is centrally located and about a USD6.00 taxi ride to 6th St. The exterior is not the best but my room was very clean and comfortable. Reception staff are very helpful.

Quote: The outside does look a little grungy and you are put off by it. But Inside the room it is pretty clean and comfortable. Great location. Very close to 6th street. I would stay again

Not worth it

Quote: We stayed here overnight when coming to UT Freshman Orientation. Everything was broken--the "business center" consisted of a computer on the front counter, whose screen could be seen by everyone entering the door. This turned out not to be a... Read the full Days Inn University review

DISAPPOINTED

Quote: We were disappointed with the days inn in austin, tx. The place could use remodeling. We did not like the fact that the tiolet/shower area had no door for privacy.
