Not bad for the price

This is an older hotel ( >30 years), but it has been recently remodeled. The bed was good and the linens were clean. The part of the bathroom where the tub/shower was small, but there is a dressing area adjacent to it with enough room. I used the wireless internet connection, which was not that great, usually connecting at low or very low, but I managed. Everything was clean and usable. Not exactly luxurious, but it did the job.

Good location and clean rooms

The hotel is centrally located and about a USD6.00 taxi ride to 6th St. The exterior is not the best but my room was very clean and comfortable. Reception staff are very helpful.

would stay again

not a bad place to stay, we're from l.a. and it was very clean. no problems with anything really except parking after 8 or 9 pm can be a little hard. bathroom was very clean, plenty of towels, clean sheets, tv worked properly except the closed captioning button was broken (kind of annoying), good signal on the wifi when we went. the bed was a little hard though and the pool was smaller than small, i don't think i've seen such a small hotel pool before! oh and if you plan on staying here and you rent a car, don't rent a large model if you can help it, the parking spaces are tiiiiny. very close to downtown, 6th street and campus. great location and great rate for the area!

The outside does look a little grungy and you are put off by it. But Inside the room it is pretty clean and comfortable. Great location. Very close to 6th street. I would stay again

Not worth it

We stayed here overnight when coming to UT Freshman Orientation. Everything was broken--the "business center" consisted of a computer on the front counter, whose screen could be seen by everyone entering the door. This turned out not to be a problem, because the computer didn't work anyway! The glass door on the in-room microwave had been smashed in, and the 2 windows in the room were not secure (old, dysfunctional locks). There were 2 positives about the whole experience:1) the bed linens were clean; and 2) the location is very close to the UT campus. That's about the best I can say.
