I was afraid after reading some of the previous reviews that the place was run down. Not the case the hotel was clean, nice and very well kept. Very nice atrium and great location ..

We stopped at the Ambassador Hotel on our way to New Mexico. We found the hotel very nice and we had a great rest before another day of driving. The staff that we had to speak with was very friendly, quick check in and very nice room. We ate at TGI Fridays which was great since we didn't have to leave the hotel. We had a great night sleep with no noise at all.

Will be back again

We very much enjoyed this hotel. I thought the bed was comfortable, but found myself in the middle of the night in the middle of it. I had rolled downhill. My husband told me the next day, he found himself rolling to the center as well. The sheets also didn't fit the bed. Maybe it is time to change the mattresses and the sheets. Overall, it was great. We were flying to Houston the next day and came a day early to beat bad weather back home. It was starting to get slick when we arrived. We took everything out of the car, checked in and went down to eat dinner at the adjoined restuarant. It was nice we didn't have to get back out in the bad weather. I had stayed here before and had some concerns after reading other reviews. I felt our room was very clean. My husband was ready to return if the roads were too bad when we flew home - AND HE WOULD NOTICE IF IT WERE NOT CLEAN. The rooms are nice and large and we will probably bring our family back down and stay again.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.....WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!!!!

My Husband and I stayed here for our 1 year anniversary and it was the worst experience I have ever had. Our room and package was supposed to be ready for us when we got there. The front desk had to radio to housekeeping to see if our room was even clean! Then we had to carry our own champagne up to our room. We were supposed to have fancy champagne glasses that we paid for, but they were plastic and cheap. Everyone was really rude and short. The Food was old and stale and made my Husband and I sick for the rest of the day. Then we paid cash for our stay, and when we checked out they billed it to my debit card, which put our account in the hole. When we went for our complimentary cocktails at the lounge, there were kids running around everywhere, and the concierge was really rude and snapped our heads off when we tried to order a drink.

Good Experience

To be honest, we went thru Travel Agent. Got a $* rm for price of staying somewhere not as nice and we weren't disappointed. Rms were large, lots of pillows,lg chair/ottamon, air conditioner was a real one and worked well (we like it cold). Continental Breakfast is a cup of coffee. As for the Breakfast Buffet, just forget it. Do yourself a favor and take the $*/person and go to Cracker Barrel instead (not far away). Waitress is a lot more friendly, keeps your coffee cup full and service is there when you really need it.
