If you are desperate...

If you have no other options, the location is great. But the rooms are ridiculously small. So small you couldn't open the door without putting your suitcase on the bed. Barely big enough for two people to be standing at the same time. But the continental breakfast was a nice bonus in an expensive town & you are right down the street from Central Park.

good location, small, poor service

The hotel has a great location in the Upper West Side, good access to transit, and a nice neighborhood near Central Park and lots of restaurants and bars. Free internet access and a continental breakfast were also a plus. Unfortunately, the staff was really unhelpful - I spent about 20 minutes trying to get the staff's attention to check me in when I arrived, and when I checked out I spent about 10 minutes trying to convince the front desk person that I needed a receipt. I eventually had to call for one after my trip. The hotel has apparently been undergoing renovations for a really long time - the area for the breakfast is really cramped, and you can barely see the sign for the front door amid the scaffolding. Rooms are NYC small, which I expect, and very strangely laid out. OK for a one-night deal but probably not a place I'd stay again.

"Great location, tiny room"

Perfect upper west side location, one block from Central Park and subway. Room was tiny, esp. bathroom. Continental breakfast good only for coffee. Rate was good for the location, though, and our room was clean, though cramped.

If you like staying in tiny dirty rooms with torn wallpaper in the halls and filth in corners then this is the place for you. The staff have obviosly heard it all before cos they really don't give a damn, not as if they could do anything anyway. The website is pure fiction do yourself a favour and find another property to stay at

stayed here twice great for the Upper West side -No complaints. Just small. Cozy; a little dingy but comfortable enough.
