Used the Benson as "Base Camp" for a week in the Portland area. Don't let the elegant lobby fool you, this place is "Homey", welcoming and a great place to stay in downtown.

The Benson is a beautiful hotel in the heart of downtown. The room was lovely and the bed was comfortable. The staff, especially the Concierge, was extremely helpful. I loved the Benson.
Wonderful Weekend

We stayed in a Jr. Suite on the 7th floor. The windows open and I enjoyed leaning out to see the city. The bed was of the most comfortable; the sitting area was lovely the food wonderful, and the service was great! The apple strudel is to die for! The wine selection is wonderful! The lounge is a fun place to listen to music and enjoy a perfect Lemon Drop. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again!

Never had been to Portland before and was looking for a unique hotel and the Benson was it. Great service, walk to everything - would definitely return.
