For a 2 star hotel this is one of the best in Virginia Beach. Clean rooms great location. Park your car and never move it. Everything is a block and a half off the beach. We stay here every year, and will continue to come back.

The staff was very friendly even though I checked in early morning. Answered all question, great service, very clean room. I'm about to book another 3 day stay.

I've never stayed in such a horrible motel! The front desk clerk didn't know what he was doing. None of the lights worked. There was broken glass and cigarette butts on the bathroom floor. The bathtub was covered in mold and hair. The room was supposed to have a full kitchen, but only had a small fridge and microwave that didn't even work. There was a nausiating stench in the room. And piles of dirt and grime in the corners of the bathroom. The bathroom sink leaked. I would highly recomend NOT staying at the Sundial Motel. And here was a large pile of vomit on the stairwell.

Great location, walking distance of restaurants, clubs, shops.. 1 block from beach. hotel staff friendly, allowed early check-in, clean rooms, hotel does not allow guest to have visitors over to their rooms (one downfall to this hotel...)

We had a great 3 nights at the Sundial. I expected the typical Va. Bch dirty hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by a clean room. Older but clean with a nice staff and all the basics we needed for a fun stay.
