Better than expected

Location is great... a couple of blocks from the Boardwalk. Compared to other hotels in the area, the price can't be beat. Stayed in a King Suite, which had along with the bed, a sofa and kitchen area equipped with stove and fridge. Didn't use either, but assume they worked. It isn't a five star hotel by any means, but room was spacious and worth the money. The pool was closed for the season.

If you're looking for a "no frills" hotel thats a couple of blocks from the beach...then the Sundial Inn is a good choice. I only stayed overnight but I couldn't picture myself staying there for more than 1 or 2 days.

For a 2 star hotel this is one of the best in Virginia Beach. Clean rooms great location. Park your car and never move it. Everything is a block and a half off the beach. We stay here every year, and will continue to come back.

The staff was very friendly even though I checked in early morning. Answered all question, great service, very clean room. I'm about to book another 3 day stay.

I've never stayed in such a horrible motel! The front desk clerk didn't know what he was doing. None of the lights worked. There was broken glass and cigarette butts on the bathroom floor. The bathtub was covered in mold and hair. The room was supposed to have a full kitchen, but only had a small fridge and microwave that didn't even work. There was a nausiating stench in the room. And piles of dirt and grime in the corners of the bathroom. The bathroom sink leaked. I would highly recomend NOT staying at the Sundial Motel. And here was a large pile of vomit on the stairwell.
