The hotel was very convenient to the business meeting I was in town to attend, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. While the room was nice, it was not worth the price. The shortcomings are that this part of the downtown area is totally deserted after around 6PM and all the walk to eating options close at 6PM. The only eating option left is the in house restaurant which is VERY expensive and many of the items on the standard menu were not available the night we were there. Also, the internet connection didn't work and the business center comuputer didn't print. I do have to say that the convenience store in the lobby of the building next door was great for an inexpensive and health breakfast and the fitness center while not on site was just across the streat and had all you could want in terms of equipment and hours of operation. I am not sure whether I would stay here again as the value is poor for the price.

Incredible dining experience (inside hotel). They actually had live music, Anita Baker!!!, which was really cool for me (as i usually find myself looking in local papers to find out where entertainment might be). Staff was friendly and WiFi is big for me. Overall great experience!

My wife and I recently stayed the weekend at the newly renovated Hotel St. Regis and it was beautiful. The amenities were fabolous and well as the restaurant, La Musique. We were met by friendly staff willing to bend over backwards to please us. The location was great being located right next to the Fisher Theatre. I would recommend this as the best newhotel in Detroit.

I am a business traveler and travel weekly. I was extremely happy with my stay at the St. Regis and the service there was excellent. The staff was extremely helpful. The room were clean, modern, and spacious. The restaurant was good but it was close to downtown dining and the night scene. I would highly recommend the hotel for any business traveler.

Stayed here the past 5 years each Memorial Day weekend for the Electronic Music Fest. Was GREAT up until our last stay in 06. 1st room shower didn't work. 2nd room A/C didn't work. 3rd room was ok, but A/C puddled on carpet below window. They should have offered us a discount for the troubles but that didn't happen. Probably won't stay here again because of the room rate increase...not worth it.
