Quote: I loved my stay at this hotel. It was close to the beach and pier. Wonderful friendly staff and good breakfast and wine time! I would recommend this to friends and family.

Very friendly staff, close to beach and downtown area.

Quote: Everything we wanted to do on our trip was within walking distance from the hotel. Whether it was whale watching or window shopping downtown, everything was either right across the street or just around the block. The rooms were comfortable and... Read the full West Beach Inn review

Renovated, maintained, but loud .

  • 4 out of 5 stars A traveler from Travelocity.com
  • April 12, 2011
Quote: We were on the first floor with our room facing the courtyard. I was woken up pretty early with the gardeners and other maintenance staff. Their Wifi was also horrible, the signal wouldnt last more than 3 minutes, and when it did, it was crawling.

Great location, satisfactory stay

Quote: This is an older hotel that’s been “refreshed,” though signs of age are still visible. The location is fantastic--directly across from the beach, and several blocks from State Street. We went during low season, so rates were affordable. There was a... Read the full West Beach Inn review

Good overall value but heating for winter months is needed

Quote: It would have been nice if the hotel had heating in the room. During my recent visit end of January 2011, in this Santa Barbara location, the room was cold. I still felt the cold despite the thin thermal blanket and the comforter on the bed.

Quote: Room was extremely comfortable with daily turn down service. Room had a safe which was a very nice feature for valuables; had a pin code so it was very easy to use. Plenty big enough if I wanted to put my purse in there. Staff was very responsive,... Read the full West Beach Inn review

It will grow on you....

  • February 7, 2011
Quote: When we first arrived we were underwhelmed and, admittedly, a little bit worried. It sort of seems like a glorified TravelLodge. But, after a few hours there, we started to realize that it had many advantages. The room was nice... we had a balcony... Read the full West Beach Inn review

Quote: The hotel was perfect for what we were looking for. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good. We used the spa every night we were there. The location was perfect. We were able to walk to the beach or walk up and down State Street. Will... Read the full West Beach Inn review

Great Gem with Sunrise over the Harbor

  • February 3, 2011
Quote: Having booked a "good deal" on Travelocity, I had expected the reality of the place to be a lot less sparkling than the photos. Well, not at the West Beach Inn. It is indeed a lovely welcoming hotel with lush garden. My room was in perfect... Read the full West Beach Inn review
